Bustamite
Bustamite is found with sugilite and richterite in the Kalahari manganese fields of South Africa.
Bustamite belongs to the silicates group. Crystals are rare. It is usually in a massive form, sometimes grainy or fibrous. It is translucent and vitreous. It fractures unevenly and can be brittle
Bustamite is named after General Anastasio Bustamente (1830 President of Mexico), who discovered Bustamite in New Jersey, U.S.A. in 1822.
Bustamite is believed by many crystal healers to possess an energetic ability, allowing it to remove and clear energy blockages. Because of this ability, they also believe Bustamite to be a very powerful gem for all types of energy work.
